Saved Voice Message Feature for WhatsApp Beta arrives to Android

WhatsApp has released a new update 2.18.123 for the users who are registered on the Google Play Beta program. This update brings a functionality on board which might be of utility for a lot of users. Almost every WhatsApp user who has used the voice message feature knows that it is very annoying to be interrupted in between the recording since WhatsApp does not allow any option of pausing the recording or continuing it. Now WhatsApp has rolled out the ‘Saved Voice Messages’ feature meaning that now users can save their voice recording and then send it later to the recipients if they think the recording to be okay. The function however doesn’t allow sender to record further to the already saved audio.

To access the feature, users will just need to head over to the chat screen and they’ll see the saved audio message upfront. According to WABetaInfo, although, the feature has been made official on iOS and on Android Beta there is no saying when the feature will make its way to the stable version of Android.

WhatsApp is closely working on to improve small things that matter for the users and of course, the long-requested ones as well. For example, last month it rolled out the Locked Recordings feature, which allowed a user to lock the audio recording with a simple gesture. Once the recording is done, users can either send or cancel the voice recording. Earlier, users were required to tap and hold the audio button until they finish recording the audio.

The locked recordings was one of the most required features by WhatsApp users for a long time. And now the Saved Voice Recording feature will tweak the user experience.

To experience the Saved Voice Recording feature right away, head over to the Google Play Store and sign up for the Google Play WhatsApp Beta program to receive the WhatsApp Beta 2.18.123 update right away.
