After Apple fired the chip-generating giant Qualcomm with a bombardment of lawsuits earlier this year, the chip maker is on its aftermath with a counter sue in process as of today. The long going fight with Intel an active member has reached a different level of technology too, yes.
The chip maker has released a full document that can be read here. Qualcomm says that Apple “chose not to utilize certain high-performance features of the Qualcomm chipsets for the iPhone 7 (preventing consumers from enjoying the full extent of Qualcomm’s innovation),” and when Qualcomm iPhones supposedly outperformed Intel iPhones, “Apple falsely claimed that there was ‘no discernible difference’ between” the two variants. Apple had sued Qualcomm in January in the southern district of California. Apple had a claim of $1 billion from the chipmaker which also had a huge focus on patents and designs. Well, you see the “Think Different!” attitude of Apple right?
It seems to a common man that the chipmaker stand a no win-win situation against the World’s Largest Company (for us, atleast), but time is greater than any technology, which will definitely give a better result!
With the increasing rivalry and friction, Qualcomm says, “Apple threatened it to stop comparing iPhones already“.
In today’s countersuit, Qualcomm says it seeks — among other things — damages from Apple for “reneging on its promises in several agreements,” and to stop Apple interfering in deals with manufacturers for iPhone and iPad parts.
