Ahead of the Google Pixel 2 launch, Original Pixel Gets a Price Cut

As we all know the new Google Pixel 2 is coming very soon. What does that mean for the original Pixel release towards the end of the last year? Yes, it means a massive price cut for it.

The pixel which was originally launched in India at price of Rs. 56,000/- is now selling at Rs. 34999/- on Flipkart, which is giving a discount of Rs. 20,000/-. I agree that it is an old phone but at the price of Rs. 34,999/- it’s still a good deal.

At this price, the other options are OnePlus5, Nokia 8, iPhone 7, Galaxy S7. All of those are very good phones. In particular, the OnePlus5 and Nokia 8 which gives cleaner Android experience, dual camera, and a good build quality makes them fantastic phones. But still, Google Pixel is the best.

Some of its best features are:

  • The original Pixel which was launched last year is still the phone with the best camera.
  • It’s very fast the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 and has 4 GB RAM.
  • This is no longer cutting edge as Snapdragon 835 is there now. The Clean Android version which comes from Google directly gives the top notch performance to the device.
  • Pixel is one of the four or five all phones that have Android Oreo available for it right now which is the latest version of Android and only Pixel and Nexus phones have got it so far.
  • The build quality of the phone is very good. The metal and glass design makes it very pretty and gives a premium look.
  • It has a decent amount of storage i.e. 32GB and even comes with the headphone jack. Yes, you heard it right. “The Headphone Jack”.
  • As it runs on the latter latest version of Android, the device is very well optimised.
The 5-inch screen with bright colors is still one of the better screens you’ll find in a phone

In case you find the 5-inch screen too small you can move forward to pixel XL which too has been given a price cut that phone is now selling for Rs. 39,999/-. Although that also makes the Pixel XL slightly poorer value compared to the Pixel but relative to other phones even Pixel XL makes so much Sense.
